The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of characters who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could enable the group reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can expect learning which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
